How to use 1Password for 2FA
Setting up 1Password as an Authenticator for Your Apps
Before you start, ensure you have the following:
1. 1Password Account: Make sure you have an active 1Password account.
2. 1Password Browser Extension: Install the 1Password browser extension. If you don't have it, you can download it from Here
3. 1Password Account Card: You'll need the 1Password account card for the app you want to use 1Password for 2FA. You can find this card or create it in your 1Password app.
Step-by-Step Guide:
1. if you have authenticator already activated with another authenticator for the app, disable it.
2. Open the "Setup Authenticator" page of the app you want to use (For this guide i will use Google, but this will work with any app supporting Authenticator)
3. Get to the stage when you can scan a QR code

4. Now, click one the 1Password extension on your browser to open it
5. and make sure you are selecting the account for the current app you want to setup the 2FA for

6. When selected - click on the 3 dots in the corner

7. Then select "Scan QR Code"

if it was successful you will receive this message:

Then, you can continue for the next step of the setup and just paste the number that was generated and 1Password will auto fill it for you next time you log in
You will also be able to see the authenticator running on your account card on 1Password
